Hello, my name is Jordan Carriere and I am a Senior History and Law teacher at St. Mary High School in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. I am also heavily involved within the extra curricular programs here at St. Mary. I coach the Senior Football team as the Defensive Lineman coach, as well as the Junior Football team as the Defensive Coordinator. I am also involved in our basketball program as the Junior A Boys Post Development Coach, as well as the Head Coach of one of our Junior B Boys teams. Finally, I assist with the Spring Golf Program as well. I believe in a strong commitment to education, as well as extra curricular within our school.
Outside of the school, I am still heavily involved in the sporting world. A large majority of my time is revolved around the officiating world. I officiate various levels of hockey, and supervise up and coming officials. I also play Senior Men's Lacrosse for the Prince Albert Outlaws, and coach youth lacrosse as well. I enjoy playing various rec sports, and can always be found on the golf course during the summer.
My passion is to create relationships with students, inside and outside of the classroom. I believe the best way for a student to succeed is to create relationships, and feel comfortable in the classroom. I feel like one of the best ways to create that is creating those relationships with each student based on their specific interests and needs. The educational aspect of school is just a small piece to the puzzle of a students success.
